The Project

We Are Here Brum has been a programme of digital creative sessions throughout 2020; a place for young people 16-18 across Birmingham to discuss the things that matter to them with others, and channel their opinions into creative responses. Week by week, they showed up, they glowed up and this platform is a showcase of their work.

‘We Have Always Been Here’ is a collection of individual pieces; spoken word, speech and story, written and performed by 6 experts of experience. There are questions to the system, to themselves, to the media industry, there are celebrations of identity, and visions for the future from 6 people who are shaping it.
